Grilled or Broiled Steak

  Nothing beats a perfectly grilled steak! Here's how to do it, short and simple.
  2 lbs.   steak
    steak seasoning blend
  Figure about 1/3 - 1/2 lb. meat per person, depending on appetites and whether you buy bone-in meat.

Season steak with steak seasoning bleand. Broil or grill steak until it reaches your desired level of "done." Use a meat thermometer if you don't want to have to second-guess yourself.

120 to 125 degrees F
center is bright red, pinkish toward the outer portion and brown only on the exterior

Medium Rare
130 to 135 degrees F
center is very pink, slightly brown toward the exterior portion and brown on the outside

140 to 145 degrees F
center is light pink, outer portion is brown

Medium Well
150 to 155 degrees F
brownish-pink line in the middle

Well Done
160 degrees F and above
steak is uniformly brown throughout
